Hi, I'm Rob.
I’ve spent two decades in the trenches of small-business operations. I know exactly where things break — and I’ve made it my job to fix them.
How I got here
I spent 20 years in construction — on crews, in offices, running the business side. High-stakes jobs, tight margins, constant coordination between field and front office. Every wasted hour costs real money. Systems that don’t talk to each other mean mistakes, delays, and clients you lose to whoever responds faster.
That’s where I got good at spotting exactly where a business leaks time and money, and re-engineering the procedures to fix it. When I figured out how to automate the parts that were killing us — quotes, client follow-up, project tracking — I never looked back.
Now I do the same thing for small businesses across industries. The playbook doesn’t change. Whether you’re running a service business, a trade shop, or a professional practice, the problems look familiar: too much manual work, tools that don’t connect, and not enough hours in the day.
Why "Djedi"?
The name Djedi comes from ancient Egyptian sages who were master builders and engineers — creators of systems so precise and durable they seemed impossible to their contemporaries.
That’s the standard I hold my work to. Not software that works until the vendor raises prices. Not systems only I can maintain. Structures that outlast the project, that your team can operate, and that you own outright — built to last.
Your everyday tech, handled
Not a break/fix technician, not a managed services desk. I'm the tech person for your business — keeping things running, building what you need, and staying involved.
Everyday Tech, Kept Running
Email, Wi-Fi, devices, software licenses, cloud backups — the stuff that runs your business and drives you crazy when it breaks. I handle it so you can focus on your actual work.
Workflow Automation
Turn hours of manual work into systems that run themselves. Quote generation, client follow-up, scheduling reminders, invoicing workflows — built once, running forever.
Security & Privacy
Website audits, system hardening, data protection, secure email practices. I practice what I preach — privacy-first, real protection for your business and your clients. Not compliance theater.
Systems That Talk to Each Other
CRM, accounting, scheduling, communication — enter data once, not five times. I connect your existing tools or replace the ones that don't fit, so information flows instead of getting stuck.
The difference
Not a ticket system. Not a rotating team of strangers. You work with me — someone who learns your business, remembers your context, and picks up the phone.
One number, every month. No hourly billing, no project overruns, no upsells mid-engagement. Your audit sets the scope; your invoice stays predictable.
I build on your accounts, in your name, with your credentials. When our engagement ends, everything stays with you — code, automations, documentation. No vendor lock-in, ever.
I have a security and privacy background. That shapes how I build: minimal data collection, proper access controls, encryption where it counts. Not an afterthought.
I implement, test, and train your team. Consulting without execution isn't consulting — it's reading. You get working systems, not a slide deck.
AI Transparency
I use AI tools (Claude Code, Claude, ChatGPT) to assist with writing, editing, research, and content creation. All ideas, analysis, and strategic thinking are my own — AI helps me articulate and structure them more effectively.
I believe in transparency about AI usage while recognizing it as a powerful augmentation tool for knowledge work.
Start with a Tech Audit
A $250 Tech Audit maps your stack, finds the gaps, and tells you exactly what’s worth fixing. I guarantee I’ll find at least 3 things worth more than the fee — or it’s free.
Audit fee credited toward your first month if you proceed.
